This series of photos was inspired by the growing danger that women are experiencing. Generational violence against women is passed down without fail. Something troubling is the resurgence of traditional gender values. Through history, we can see how detrimental and confining they are. A lot of those beliefs shaped our society and the way men act towards the opposite sex. Women in traditional settings are seen as just mothers, sex objects, and caretakers. I wanted to highlight the danger of this objectification, which often leads to violence. Men use sex, physical force, religion, and laws to control women. Each photo is accompanied by a brief statement alluding to what the picture represents.
